Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president, Andrew Kamanga has hinted on finalising talks with the women’s football league sponsors’ souters.

Kamanga was reacting after demands from the fans, for an explanation over the U-17 clashing out of the 2018 FIFA World qualifiers. It has been alleged that the exit is as the result of the negligence by FAZ.

The FAZ women’s league, which covers only 2 provinces–Copperbelt and Lusaka–is currently run without sponsors and winning prize money. But this will soon be a thing of the past, apparently.

The FAZ boss has assured stakeholders of a strong and competitive Women’s league, henceforth.

He further emphasized on the need of training women coaches and enhancing technical departments of their teams.

He concluded by stating plans of extending the women’s football league to other provinces.

“As much as we appreciate women’s league being active in Lusaka and Copperbelt provinces, there’s also need to extend it to other provinces,” he said.
