Kaizer Chiefs who are still missing the services of Zambian Striker Lewis Macha who has an Ankle injury moved up to first position in the
Absa Premiership on Wednesday after a 2-0 win
over Free State Stars .

Zambian Defender Davies Nkausu put in a 90 minute shift but their is so little he could do to stop an impressive Kaizer Chiefs on the night.

Ea Lla Koto showed some positive signs in the
opening exchanges with Thokozani Sekotlong
firing a shot on target in the second minute but
it was a simple save for Itumeleng Khune.

In the eighth minute it was Chiefs who broke
through, winning a penalty. Joseph Okumu
caught Khumalo with a high boot in the box and
Willard Katsande stepped up to slot the spot-kick
for a 1-0 lead.

The Amakhosi had a nervous moment in defence
when Erick Mathoho attempted to clear the ball
with his face towards his own goal, but he lifted
the ball just over the Chiefs woodwork.

Goodman Dlamini gave Khune some work to do
just shy of the break as he unleashed a strong
shot on target, but it was a comfortable save for
the South Africa international.

Chiefs should have had their second goal just
before the hour mark when George Maluleka
whipped in a free kick for Mathoho to head
home, but he directed it wide.

The result was put to bed in the 64th minute as
Michelle Katsvairo netted his first goal for Chiefs.
A great first-time pass from Lebese put the ball in
the perfect spot for the Zimbabwean to slot
home.

The visitors took control of the clash as the
