Masaka LC rejects FSL fine

Money strapped FUFA Super League side Masaka LC has vowed not to honor the Ush500000 (Ksh17, 000) fine and match replay as a penalty for the aborted league game at home against Police FC over a week back.

 FUFA had ordered both teams to pay the above fine each on top of replaying the game to this Friday in Mityana.

 However, the game was postponed to a non confirmed date by the federation. “It is Police who walked off the pitch and it was the referees cause not we as the club”, noted one of the club officials.

 Masaka LC claims argues that they cannot play the whole game again since also Vipers and SC Villa played for only the time that was remaining yet their tie was aborted due to fans.

 “The FUFA vice president in charge of Super league Mujib Kasule is looking for his Proline’ survival and does not want us to get the points to escape from the relegation zone”, a source added.

 Masaka LC lies 14th on table with 13 points minus the game in question while Proline is 13th with 16 points in 20 games, 2 games ahead of Masaka LC.

  The game in Masaka was aborted in the 68th when referee Peter Musoke changed his mind after consulting his assistant and disallowed Police FC equalizer that would have made the game 1-1 prompting the visitors to walk of the pitch in protest. However, the official’s report
