Mathare United bounced back to winning ways by beating Nakuru All

Nakuru All Stars’ hopes of surviving relegation were dealt a major blow after losing 2-1 to Mathare United.

Noah Abich netting the winner from the penalty spot awarded when Eric Johanna was brought down by Shaban Akenga after Lwamba Bebeto had equalized Robinson Kamura’s early goal.

Kamura gave Mathare the lead with a sixth minute header, looping beyond Shabaan Odhoji from the edge of the six yard box from Noah Abich’s cross.

Bebeto restored parity seven minutes later with a swinging volley from inside the box after Josephat Oyugi had headed the ball into the area at the far post from a Boniface Akenga corner.

The win sees Mathare revive their hopes of finishing within the top eight as they moved from 12th to ninth on the standings.
