Jericho All Stars prolific striker Victor “Pompii” Walera is fired-up ahead of Sportpesa Super 8 Champions League final against Technical University of Kenya (TUK FC) at Nyayo stadium, Nairobi, Sunday, November 13, 2016.

“I will score a hat-trick,” the flamboyant goal-poacher exuded confidence days to the encounter dubbed “East vs West” dual.

“We beat them home and away in the league (Sportpesa Super 8 Premier League), and we will confirm that we are superior over them,” added the league’s most valuable player of the year nominee.

Pompy scored and assisted two goals in 3-2 first leg triumph, before netting a brace in 3-1 second leg win – a superb record he is itching to replicate on the D-day.

The East Conference heavyweights have been doubling their efforts in training since last week, and Walara opines they are ready for their West Conference rivals.

“We are well prepared both physically and mentally, and I can tell our fans that we won’t let them down.”

Walara has enjoyed a superb season with the coach Thomas Okong’o’s side – notching 16 league goals despite missing 6 games due to injury.

His exploits has seen him attract interests from clubs from both in and outside the country, however, he is remaining level headed, as he continues to do his talking on the field.

Last year he tried out with Serbian giants Partizan Belgrede, but the deal did not materialize due to reasons unrelated to his immense talent.

His dream remains to play professional football abroad like most budding footballers, “so far I’m grateful for the far I have come, and I thank God for my talent, but the journey is still long. God willing, I hope to move a step higher in my career come next year.”

On the road to the final, Jericho edged out Shauri Moyo Blue Stars 1-0, while TUK beat Meltah Kabiria 5-4 in the semis. Up for grabs will be Kshs 500,000 prize money courtesy of sponsors, Sportpesa and Extreme Sports Limited.

And in the spirit of “Wakilisha Mtaa Yako” there will be a whole lot of entertainment lined up for all, which you don’t want to miss!
