Kenya U-20 women national team beat their Botswana counterparts 7-1 in a FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier match played at the Lobaste Sports Complex in Gaborone on Friday.

Martha Amunyolete,Marjolen Nekesa stole the shine netting a brace each with Cynthia Shilwasto,Vivian Corazon and Diana Wacera scoring a goal each.

Red hot Martha Amunyolete started the rout with a smart finish from Lucy Akoth’s run down the Botswana defence in the 12th minute.

Ten minutes later Cynthia Shilwasto read brilliantly a through pass and beat the goalie before slotting into an empty net for Starlets second.

Before that Botswana’s Gaolegobwe Warona darting run and pass in the 20th minute was fuffled by Tebasto Gloria to waste an equaliser chance.

Then the best moment for the home team came when Leno Gaofetege scored in the 45th minute of match.

Five minutes after second half Marjolen Nekesa Wafula latched onto a low pass,before smashing into the roof of the net.

Her second came from another brilliant pass from Vivian Corazon in the 68th minute of the match.

Then it was the time for Kenyan Starlets moments of madness when they scored three goal in the last eight minutes of the match.

Captain Vivian Corazon 82th ,Diana Wacera 86th and Martha Amunyolete second in the 88th minute completely buried Botswana ahead of return leg match next week that will be played at Machakos Stadium.
