FOREST RANGERS 1-0 NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS

Nakambala lost their 6th game on the road as Forest Rangers moved into fourth after the Saturday games with the 75th minute goal from Nicholas Mulilo. Forest Rangers Coach Perry Mutapa says the game was tough in the first half and his team increased the intensity of the game in the second half and declares that it was a deserved win for Forest Rangers.

“ A very tough game , this win has given us motivation to move forward especially that we are half a mark for survival, I think the relegation mark is 40 so to be at 20 points at this stage of the season is very good but it was a tough game. You could see in the first half that Nakambala played very well , they kept the ball very well although they didn’t go in areas where they could hurt us, The second half was a different ball game ,the intensity from our team increased and with some changes , Mulilo came in and he scored, It’s a well-deserved victory.”” Mutapa said.

What does Perry Mutapa think about beating Patrick Phiri who is believed to be his mentor?

“This is the second time am beating my mentor, like I said it wasn’t a one way traffic game, it’s tough lucky to my mentor , he needed this win.” Mutapa concluded

Forest Rangers will remain fourth should Power Dynamos drop points on Sunday at home to Nchanga Rangers and just as Perry Mutapa puts it, this is a massive win for Forest Rangers and they will be looking at the donated three points to Nkana as ordinary if they continue with this streak of results.
Congratulations Forest Rangers ……
