Botswana Premier League side Township Rollers have confirmed the death of their player Gofaone “President” Tiro from suspected heart attack.

The 26-year-old Francistown born winger “inadvertently” collapsed during the team’s morning training in Tlokweng on Friday and was rushed to a nearby health facility where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

“We await feedback from the Doctors,” the club posted on their official Facebook page.

“Supporters shall be informed about the funeral arrangements in due course.”

The former Chiefs Botswana, Flamengo Desportos and UF Santos player joined he Blues in 2013.

The club’s website describes him as, “influential performer with a flawless blend of class, intelligence, panache and uncompromising physical strength can terrorize from either of the flanks.”

His death comes two days after former Gabon international Moise Brou Apanga died from a similar circumstance.

The 35-year old collapsed during a training session with his Gabonese club FC 105 Libreville Wednesday.

He played for the Panthers at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2010 and 2012.
