By Jafferson Ndhlovu,

Tsholotsho FC’s two year flirtation with Zimbabwe’s Castle Premier Soccer League came to end this afternoon after going down 1-0 to title chasing Chicken Inn FC.

A 40th minute Passmore Bernard’s lone goal at Luveve Stadium was enough to consign their opponents away from the top league.

With three games to play Tsholotsho is 14 points short of Yadah Stars who occupies the last safe place. Which is mathematically impossible to beat even if they won the remaining three games.

The win for Gamecocks moves them into third position dislodging Dynamos FC to fourth position. And stays one point behind joint log leaders Ngezi Platinum who lead the table on goal difference and Platinum FC. Both Platinum sides are on 60 points with a game in hand together with Dynamos.

While Chicken Inn is reviving their title hopes is the Qhoko Zezhwane Rural Boys who take the first ticket to the brutal division 1 football for 2018 season.

Meanwhile Caps United poster an away 1 nil against Bulawayo side Howmine.

Dominic Chungwa’s late surge in his quest to bag the top scorer award was strengthened further. His 22nd minute goal was good enough to move him farther away from the chasing pack.

That lone goal was equally important to make his side continue their impressive revived form. Though a bit too late to push for the title.

Howmine dogged by some in house isssues have seemingly dropped the guard and given up on the league fight.
