The Uganda Premier League (UPL) resumes on Friday 13 October with one match lined up for the day as well as three more on Saturday 14 October at various venues across the country.

Police FC will be hoping to put an improved performance after failing to pick maximum points in their previous game when they face Express FC at Kavumba Grounds.

Onduparaka faces a testing away trip to a resolute URA while Vipers will look to pile more misery on Proline when they face off at Phillip Omondi Stadium.

JMC Hippos will be looking for their first win of the season when they face Soana FC at Kakindu Stadium.

With time running out for teams to position themselves better with seven games before league half break, match day nine weekend action will be more entertaining.

Friday

Police FC vs Express FC
Time: 4pm EAT
Venue: Kavumba Grounds (Live Azam TV)

Police have failed to win their games when it mattered and are yet to score in their past four at home this season.

Express FC have served a notice they are ready to attain impressive run as Wasswa Bossa looks to rebuild his side after the departure of coach Alex Gaita.

Police on other hand have mastered the art of shooting themselves on the foot, failing to contain themselves while under pressure so far soaking eleven goals this season hence they will be out to cripple  Red Eagles wings.

Saturday

JMC Hippos vs Soana FC

Time: 4pm EAT
Venue: Kakindu Stadium, Jinja

JMC Hippos has slipped beneath the radar astutely. The key to their ability to remain incognito has been their refusal to just mildly throw in the towel in games. Their capacity to lose points has been augmented by their blunt striking force.

On the other hand this is a clash that Soana FC  would not like to lose, they may not be going for the title but they will likely be looking to better last season’s performance.

The hosts’ have not managed to get a win from previous eight encounters and elusive three points will top their agenda against 5th placed Soana if they have any hope of escaping from relegation zone before mid-season.

Proline vs Vipers SC
Time: 4.00pm EAT
Philip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

A win for Vipers SC over KCCA in their last UPL outing suggests they can get off to a workmanlike start and challenge for league tittle this season.

Proline FC has been ruthless lately and will be looking to cover ground for the lost points in the seven matches of the season. The availability of Savio Kabugo and the return to form of Gift Ali should give them a slight edge.

Though placed third on the UPL log, Vipers SC are four points behind
league leaders KCCA and this is the perfect time to show their title credentials.

URA vs Onduparaka
Time: 4pm EAT
Venue: Lugazi

Leo Adraa has managed to take a highly fashionable Onduparaka side and produced some consistency. Toha Rashid has been a rock at the back with Muhammad Shaban providing a reasonably consistent strike force.

Hosts URA will be hoping that they can get an early goal to find some traction in the game against a team that has managed to pick points from top sides in the league.

The weakness in URA side has been their tendency to slip up in these brutal home games.

This will be the game to bring some consistency to Caterpillars and chase for top  position in their maiden season.
