Wadi Degla Women’s football team were crowned as 2017 Egyptian Cup Champions, sixth time conservatively, after beating Al Elamein 5-4 on penalties on Friday.

The triumph means, Degla completed a domestic double this season, as they also won the Egyptian league title few weeks ago.

After playing to a nil stalemate in regulation time, the game went direct into penalty shootouts, and Wadi Degla came out on top, winning 5-4.
