Zambia national team head coach Wedson “Wada Wada ” Nyirenda has defended his decision to hand Emmanuel Mayuka a national team call up. Mayuka has not seen enough game time at Zamalek SC resulting into many eyebrows being raised after his inclusion in the team to face Zimbabwe .
“I had already given reasons for calling Zambian players that I believe can add value to the national team” he said
“He might not have had some game time but he is always with his team and a big team for that matter” he added
Nyirenda believes his decision is in good test as he is trying to preserve the “out of favour” Zambian Players.
” There is no harm trying to preserve our own talent by giving them a feel of new philosophy and concept” he said
” At one time same people condemned Mbesuma and I brought him in and has been doing his best and delivering for the country” Wada Wada added
