The Chipolopolo boys came from behind to beat Bafana Bafana 2-1 in an International friendly away at Moruleng Stadium on Tuesday.

It was Stuart Baxter’s second game in charge as South Africa head coach, while his counter part–Wedson Nyirenda was hunting for first triumph in 7 games after taking over the techinical bench reigns.

From onset, Bafana attacked Zambia as they missed a number of half-chances in the first quarter of the encounter.

Lebogang Manyama had an effort which went off target. Later his tremendous through ball to Sifiso Hlant was snuffed out by Lawrence Chungu.

Then an enterprising play by Kermit Erasmus before he squred a cross to Lebogang Manyama who excellently powered home to put the host in the lead, just 23 minutes in the first half.

Before going to the recess, Kermit Erasmus had two opportunities to double the lead but his attemps went over the crossbar; both in a similar fashion.

In the second half, Aubrey Ngoma made an excellent break, down the left flank but unfortunately his delivery was dissapointing.

Rowen Williams was then called to action, palming away a fierce effort from Donashano Malama before Brian Mwila found the back of the net from a distance in the 71st minute to restore parity.

A blunder by the SuperSport shot-stopper, Rowen Williams in the 78th minute and Lubinda Mundia was near–capitilized to score Zambia’s second.

Lorenzo Gordinho could have levelled matters in the clossing stages with slight contact but missed from a few metres out as Zambia held to beat South Africa.
