FANS VIEW – WE KNEW WE WOULD EASILY WIN THE LEAGUE – NAMAKAU
Zesco United has wrapped up the 2018 super league title and have it in their bag. To Namakau Mwape, it means everything and very important for the fans and club.
“Bwezani, it’s special and you should know that feeling. If you follow the league you will realise that we are becoming special in defending it. We need to get it again in 2019 so we join those few teams who have managed to bag it three on the trot.”
Sounds like a very happy fan up there.
The hardcore Zesco United fan feels this was so different from the 2017 edition as she says she knew they would win this one from the start.
“I think the 2017 one was competitive , but this one was clear from the start that it was staying home. ” added Namakau.
The lady fan has few words she can describe the 2018 season.
“Amazing, Regardless of the ups and downs all in all it has been awesome.”
Even with the hype of celebrations, Namakau takes note of the lows for the season
“When we couldn’t get the maximum points from the teams we could easily beat and also the poor run in the CAF competition this year was not expected
She won’t let the lows dampen her mood and straight away remembers the highs.
“Our form of the unbeaten run in the first part of the season and being at the top of the table till week 37 was amazing …..it was really a great feeling,it showed that we really wanted to defend the league and why we are ranked 7th in Africa , if you didn’t know Bwezani. ”
She has a message to the Executive
” Let them continue with the Great work but they should also share in, the fan’s opinions and ideas so we can better Zesco together. We are key stakeholders. ”
And to her fellow fans
“..lets continue supporting our team with everything we can, Encouraging our players in one way all another above all we remain united..Because we are united.”
And who can blame these fans with all this joy as they join Zanaco on teams that have won the title 7 times to leave Power Dynamos and Green Buffaloes on 6 titles and further above Kabwe Warriors on five and Nchanga Rangers on 2.
The other teams on one are City of Lusaka, Red Arrows and Roan United.
