Zesco United striker Patrick Kongolo is set to miss the initial period in the second half of the 2017 season due to injury. The club confirmed on their official website.

The striker sustained a long-term injury during Zesco’s TOTAL 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group C outing in Egypt on July 1 against Smouha.

“Kongolo is out for two months with a shoulder injury he sustained in our away game against Smouha,” Zesco United spokesperson Katebe Chengo told Zescounitedfc.com

“He had sustained a dislocated shoulder but the other bone also had a crack,” she added

Kongolo, who joined Zesco this season from demoted Mufulira Blackpool, sustained the injury after coming on late in the 1-1 draw in Alexandria.
